Mr. Zaki , Adjunct Professor at McGill University (Montreal, Canada), is a Senior Bridge & Structures Engineering Consultant, In his 44 years in the civil engineering practice, he has a proven record of successful project management on major Roadway and Railway infrastructure projects at both national and international levels. He introduced in most major bridge and culvert projects the modern ABC construction techniques where an Accelerated Construction Technique was implemented to cope with emergency conditions. In 1995, he has been recognized as an International Specialist by the World Bank in Washington to provide professional services in planning and project management, design, evaluation, rehabilitation and maintenance of Railway and Highway infrastructures. He has published more than twenty technical papers and received merit awards from the Canadian Society of Civil Engineering, the American Concrete Institute, and the Precast/Pre-stressed Concrete Institute. He has been responsible for the planning, design, major rehabilitation, and construction of many infrastructure projects, using both conventional and alternate forms of mega project delivery such as Design/Build and Public-Private Partnerships.

Ihab El Aghoury, Ph.D., P.Eng., is a distinguished figure in the field of structural engineering with a rich blend of academic, research, professional as well as programming experiences. As the co-founder of IPCE, UPE, AGECS Consult, and AGECS Solutions, he has significantly contributed to the field and has a great experience in corporate life. Ihab’s professional journey includes roles as a Senior Structural Designer at SNC Lavalin in Montreal, Canada, and as an International Consultant for AECOM Canada. Ihab is known for his expertise in the analysis, design, and retrofitting of steel structures. Dr. El Aghoury possesses extensive experience with workshop drawings for steel and concrete bridges, water structures, and is proficient in utilizing a broad spectrum of finite element software tools. Dr. Ihab’s technical expertise spans a wide array of specialized areas within structural engineering, demonstrating his comprehensive proficiency and innovative approach to complex engineering challenges. His work includes the fatigue life assessment of steel bridges, employing various bridge codes including AREMA, and full finite element model analysis, design, and detailing of steel and concrete bridges (both RC and PT). Academically, he is an Associate Professor at Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt, and has taught over 8 different courses as well as having more than 30 international publications. He has also contributed to the development of engineering software, addressing specific engineering problems. As the author of the AGECS RCD, AGECS SDS, and AGECS SBM, his contributions underscore his commitment to advancing structural engineering through the integration of technology and innovative solutions.
